KLAAS VERPLANCKE
Klaas Verplancke (06/21/1964) studied Commercial Graphics Design and Photography at the St. Lucas Academy in Ghent between 1982 and 1986. In 1990 he started out as a full-time illustrator and designer. Six years later he made his debut as an author. Today, after numerous assignments and more than 150 titles published in more then 30 languages and 60 translations, Klaas Verplancke is one of the most prominent Flemish illustrators, honoured worldwide. He works for the most important international publishers of books, magazines and newspapers, including recent contributions for The New York Times. His work has also been selected and published by the American Society of Illustration, American Illustration and 3x3 Magazine.
